La Pontificia Universidad Católica Madre y Maestra (PUCMM) hosting of Iberoamerican Academic of Management (IAM) Conference 2007 invite doctoral students of Business Administration and Management programs to the Doctoral Consortium, which will take place on Wednesday, December 5th, at Hotel Coral Hamaca, Boca Chica, Dominican Republic.
The purpose of this Consortium, which is a pre-conference of IAM ´s Annual Conference, is to provide doctoral students with a space to present their Ph.D. projects to distinguished experts, with the objective of helping them to identify the strengths and weaknesses of their research work, in order to improve it before their doctoral dissertations.,

The Ph.D. proposal presented to the Consortium will be organized in tracks, subject to their thematic area. After the doctoral student completes the presentation of his proposal, the experts will have the mission of commenting and discussing the conceptual and methodological aspects of the dissertation project. Experts are distinguished professors with a broad experience as members of editorial committees, thesis boards and authors of publications. Other faculty attending the Assembly is also invited to participate and contribute with their comments to this process.

Submission of Proposals
Doctoral students of Business Administration and Management programs interested in the Consortium are invited to send their papers in the format described below:
* Send to iamacademicchair@pucmm.edu.do a summary of the Ph.D. project, in English, Spanish or Portuguese, with an extension of no more than 10 pages, simple space, without any identification of the author. Please use Times New Roman 12-pitch font, double-line spacing.
* To facilitate the blind review, the doctoral student must specify on a separate page the title of the project, his complete name and e-mail address, name of the doctoral program he is attending as well as the name(s) of his or her advisor(s).
Registration
The registration must be completed include the payment due for doctoral students with approved Ph.D. projects before September 30 at: http://www.pucmm.edu.do/iberoacademy.
Cost
US$600.00
The fee includes registration in the Consortium and conference participation (from Tuesday 4th to Saturday 8th, December, 2007) IAM´s annual fee, all inclusive room accommodation, meals and beverages and admission to all conference events except the Saturday night Dominican Dinner which will be held in the city of Santo Domingo. Travel and living expenses are not included and should be covered by the doctoral student or his/her institution.
If you are interesting spend more nights at the hotel, you must pay US$100.00 per night, double room. Please, let us know about it.
