Objetives:
The Fifth Iberoamerican Academy of Management International Conference will be held in Boca Chica, a village near of the city of Santo Domingo, the capital of Dominican Republic.
The Dominican Republic was discovered by Christopher Columbus the 5th of December of 1492 during its first trip to the New World. The spirit and the enchantment of the Dominican Republic are perceived in their music, their national food and entertainments. The Dominican Republic is a middle-income developing country primarily dependent on agriculture, trade, and services, especially tourism. It is holding fast like the first economy of Central American zone (immediate after Puerto Rico, 38 billion dollars) and one of the most active economies of Latin America. A factor that will determine the future of the GIP of the country is the present CAFTA-RD that is a Free Trade Agreement that the Dominican government is managing with the United States and Central America.
The conference is hosted by School of Business Administration of Pontificia Universidad Católica Madre y Maestra, Santo Tomás de Aquino campus, a school that has emphasized high quality education.
Objectives
The iberoamerican Academic of Management International Conference in Dominican Republic will provide an international forum to:
- The exchange of academic information.
- The demonstration of recent achievements in Iberoamerican issues.
- The strengthening of international relationships through individual contacts among delegates representing many countries.
