Themes and Tracks:

This year’s theme is: “Management Challenges of Iberoamerican Firms”. The purpose is to create a forum for critical reflections about management challenges being presented to Latin American firms due to changes and opening of markets.

As always, theoretical and empirical papers are invited on the whole range of international business issues. Contributions focusing on the following issues would be particularly welcome:

  • Strategic alliances that enhance innovative business opportunities;
  • How do creativity and innovation processes contribute to firms survival;
  • Knowledge and learning in borderless ventures;
  • Finance strategies and foreign direct investment;
  • The governance of global commodity chains;
  • Outsourcing and off shoring strategies and implications;
  • Cross-borders mergers and acquisitions;
  • Entry into emerging and transitional markets;
  • The international expansion of firms from emerging markets;
  • The challenges of achieving the new competences in human resource to reach the openings markets;
  • Creating competitive advantage to attain the opportunities of the new markets.
